First of all, I'd like to welcome everyone who has registered for login on this message board. This board is an experiment for us. For anyone who has logged onto the Yahoo message board, I think one can find the best and worst features of this kind of communications there. Let's hope that here we can capture the best and leave the worst to Yahoo. Obviously this is not a place to discuss proprietary information. Think of it as an online conference, and raise general issues as you would at an AICHE meeting for instance.
Our interest in providing this online is it gives us an informal area to discuss a wide range of topics. It is not meant to replace direct communication with us as consultants. Rather, it gives an alternate forum where virtually anyone who logs in can offer a comment or raise a discussion topic. We're kind of excited about this, and we hope it takes off with great success.
If you have questions, comments, or would simply like to raise an issue for discussion, in any area related to control and optimization, I'd encourage you to raise them. This can be anything from "We're going out for bids on a project, and who should we ask to bid" to "I'm working on implementing DMC (or RMPCT, etc.) on a partial burn FCC unit, and I've run into the following problem" to "We've recognized this as a problem with the software in our APC applications. Is anyone out there working on this or knows of a fix?"
I promise you we will provide as much information as we can related to a particular problem, question, or comment.
Thanks for logging in, and I look forward to hearing from you.
